It was Cow's Milk on an IgG test...I also had borderline intolerances to 12 other foods, including beef, chicken and yes, me too, soya! I'm looking into recipes. Friends are being very helpful which is great.

@kathryn I don't know if my yeast intolerance includes both baker's and brewer's, I'm trying to avoid both for now.

All the best to you both!!Lucy Millshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17346977682747924108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1391072111621034521.post-72961428428512339552010-10-03T14:17:12.817+01:002010-10-03T14:17:12.817+01:00@Kathryn Were you tested for Fructose Malabsorptio...@Kathryn Were you tested for Fructose Malabsorption? Wheat contains fructans and they are to be avoided by someone with FrucMal. If you feel you react to gluten, but tested "negative" for gluten intolerance, it may actually be the fructans in wheat-based foods you're reacting to.

@Lucy I started a different diet due to food intolerance last year (FrucMal) and I agree that it's a relief to have something you can do that might actually make a difference. And it has, for me; but it definitely hasn't been a cure-all.

Are you lactose intolerant or casein-intolerant? I tested negative for LI but my doc suggested cutting dairy because of casein. With an IgG test that indicates Soy might be a problem too, it made it difficult to find a milk alternative that I liked. But then A2 Milk started appearing in the supermarket; it doesn't have 1 of the 2 casein proteins in it, so I'm giving it a try-out to see if that makes a difference.

I still make mistakes when choosing "FrucMal friendly" foods, and it was exhausting at first trying to manage the search for appropriate foods and cooking from scratch (which is often your only choice). But it has definitely helped.

All the best with it!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04307513673164087354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1391072111621034521.post-40874537106332910932010-10-01T19:58:20.667+01:002010-10-01T19:58:20.667+01:00Ah, yes. Sigh.
I just got back the food intolera...Ah, yes. Sigh.

I just got back the food intolerance results a week ago. I've been whinging ever since. I'm not sure i entirely trust the results for it did not show any sensitivity to gluten-containing grains, but i know for a fact these things increase inflammation, pain, & migraines for me. But we figure it is worth at least a 3 month trial.

The things i can't have are different than the things you can't have (although i responded both to baker's & brewer's yeasts, so i can't do vinegar), but it is still a pain. I figure largely fresh food, whole foods, & i'm going to be hungry a lot.

Good luck with this. I know how difficult it can be.Kathrynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03272307621143522274noreply@blogger.com
