the freedom to yawn...

Just had a nice chat with Kaye on the phone. All the more delightful because, as usual, we both yawned through most of it. Lovely to have a friend you can yawn with and be sleepy with. Since we first met in our mid to late teens, we have had long yawning phone calls. Yawn, yawn, yawn. Nice and comfortable. Some people you struggle to keep talking with on the phone when you are tired, you suppress any desire to yawn and begin to feel painfully weary. But if you know you will yawn, she will yawn, and yawning will be the punctuation of most of your sentences, it is much less work.

Of course, now I am yawning continuously.
