treasure and junk

Rather appreciating the new 'spam folder' for comments in blogger. It's accurate so far.

Ever think you need a spam folder in your head?  Life is full of genuine inspiration and delightful moments, important knowledge and essential insight...but there's a lot of junk, too. Whether it comes at me from the outside or from the inside, so often I get caught up in the 'spam' of life and miss the important things.  My mind gets cluttered up.

We need discernment to tell the junk from the treasure.   We don't want to make the mistake of thinking fool's gold is the real thing.  Worst of all, missing the real thing amid all the junk, that precious thing that God wants to give to us or show us, but we weren't paying attention. Accidentally, we mark it as spam.
